With this slab of metal induced fury Jack Frost formally of Savatage and Seven Witches unleashes his first ever solo album proving himself as a soldier of all that is heavy metal. With a slew of friends eager to give a helping hand Raise Your Fist To Metal includes such contributing artists as Gonzo Sandoval (Armored Saint), Mike Duda (Wasp), Mike LePond (Symphony X), and Billy Childs (Britny Fox) to name but just a few. Heavy on the traditional eighties metal vibe Frost has captured a overflowing mixture of guitar licks and fist pumping cuts that seem just a little out of date to say the least. With tracks like "The Man I Am" and "Fight Fire With Fire" Raise Your Fist To Metal quickly looses steam falling prey to sounding so retro that it becomes hard to relate how artists still keep trying to re-capture a time most have thankfully put behind them. As a guitarists Jack Frost is a very talented artist to say the least and Raise Your Fist To Metal showcases theses obvious well crafted pleasures but at the same time with a cover of eighties metal rockers Ratt's "Lack Of Communication" it becomes easy to see how important this solo album really is, (yea right). If eighties metal is your meal ticket to musical pleasure the Raise Your Fist To Metal will fulfill your need to bring you back to a time that most have all but tried to erase from their memory banks.
